Cookie Notice

The small files this website stores on your device, what each of them does, and how to switch them off if you would rather we did not.

What a cookie actually is

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. When you return, the browser hands it back, and the site can recognise that this is the same device. Similar technologies — local storage in your browser, and small pixels inside pages — do much the same job.

Cookies cannot read the other files on your computer, cannot see your other browser tabs and cannot access your camera or contacts. What they can do is remember choices you made and count how a site is being used.

We use very few of them, and the list below is the full picture.

Cookies used on this site

Grouped by what they are for. Only the first group is set regardless of your choice, because the site cannot work without them.

CategoryWhat it doesCan you refuse it?
Strictly necessaryKeeps a page working while you use it — holding a form's contents while you complete it, protecting forms against automated abuse, balancing traffic across servers, and remembering that you have seen this notice. No — the site would not function correctly without them
PreferenceRemembers choices you have made, such as light or dark appearance and any language or display preference, so you do not have to set them again on your next visit.Yes — the site still works, but it forgets your settings
AnalyticsCounts visits in aggregate: which pages are read, which health articles are most useful, whether people find the appointment page, what device and browser they use, and where errors occur.Yes — refusing simply means your visit is not counted
No health information is stored in cookies

Cookies on this site never contain your name, your symptoms, your appointment details, your reports or anything from your medical record. Information you type into a form is transmitted securely to the hospital and stored in our systems — not left behind on your device in a cookie.

How to control cookies yourself

Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies. The settings are usually under Privacy, Security or Site settings.

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies and Site settings
  • Safari (Mac and iPhone): Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security, where you can block cookies and clear website data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
  • Any browser: private or incognito browsing discards cookies when you close the window
  • Most browsers also offer a 'clear browsing data' option that deletes everything already stored

What happens if you block them

Blocking analytics and preference cookies has no effect on your ability to read the site, browse departments, look up a doctor or submit an appointment request. You will simply be an uncounted visitor whose display preferences are forgotten between visits.

Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may cause forms to behave unpredictably and may make this notice reappear on every page, because the site can no longer remember that you dismissed it.

If we begin using any cookie beyond the categories listed above, this page will be updated before that cookie is set. If you have a question about anything stored on your device by this site, write to info@simsanantapur.in.

Not sure which department you need?

Share your symptoms and the appointment desk will route you to the right consultant. For anything sudden or severe, do not wait for a callback — come to the emergency department.
